How To Visit And Play In A Group

Society Bookings
The members and staff of Market Drayton Golf Club are always happy to welcome Golf Societies from all over the country. You will find helpful and pleasant staff who are willing to make your stay and golf a memorable occasion.

You are also welcome to enjoy the facilities in our club house where you can take breakfast, lunch or an evening meal. See below for a sample menu and prices.

Arrival
The Organiser is requested to report to the Professional at least 20 minutes before the allocated starting time. Green Fees are payable to the Professional prior to play.

Playing The Course
We would ask you to please observe the normal etiquette requirements, paying particular attention to notices displayed on the first tee and elsewhere. Slow play must be avoided and the usual courtesies should be expected to those following. You are reminded that the Ground Staff have priority on the course. Please replace divots and repair Greens pitch marks. Litter bins are located on most tees. Please use them. Groups must not congregate on the first tee. You are asked to note that from time to time during the year greens maintenance has to take place, usually at a time dictated by the weather conditions. Should your booking happen to coincide with one of these occasions we apologise in advance.

Clubhouse Facilities
We are extremely proud of our fine Clubhouse which offers full bar and catering facilities, P A System and snooker facilities under the supervision of the Society Organiser. It is expected that visiting parties will take advantage of the catering package which is on offer. It is essential that the organisers of all visiting Societies should ring the Club Steward on the above phone number at least 7 days prior to your visit to confirm their choice of menu and give him the exact number of golfers in their party. We do not allow visitors to bring their own food and drink and consume it anywhere on our premises. The club has a No Smoking Policy.

Dress & Club Rules
Please refer to the separate dress code icon on our website for our strict dress code rules. Our Club Professional and his assistant are empowered to ban any person from the course should they not conform.

Mobile phones will not be allowed in the Clubhouse or on the Course except for Personnel associated with the Emergency Services when on duty.

All visitors having evening meals in the Clubhouse are asked to change from golf wear before eating. The wearing of hats in the Clubhouse is strictly not allowed. Full details on our course dress code can be found here.

General
All visiting Golfers should hold official handicaps. Texas Scramble competitions are not allowed.

Menu for Breakfast, Lunch & Evening Meals
This comprehensive menu has been designed to offer your party the widest possible choice of home fresh food considered to suit all tastes and affording the opportunity to round off an excellent days golf.

To facilitate the provision and allow for the adequate staffing, we seek the co-operation of the society organisers by informing us of requirements for food, and also contacting the steward (Helen on 01630 658083) no later than 7 days prior to your visit at which time your final requirements can be confirmed and any problems solved.

On Arrival

Evening Meals
Your evening meal consists of your society choosing the same meal for each person, i.e. 1 starter from the list, 1 main course from the list, and 1 sweet or cheese & biscuits from the list. The price for each meal includes starter, main course, sweet and coffee.
