JUNIOR ACADEMY INFORMATION

The Academy sessions are organised on Tuesday evenings as follows:

Registration at 16.30 and with Coaching from 16.30 – 18.00

JUNIOR TASTER SESSION TUESDAY 25th March 

Novice players: Beginning on the practice area with fun sessions learning golf skills and progressing onto playing the Par 3 Ken Carr Junior Academy golf course

Intermediate and Advance players: Sessions will include: Golf Skills coaching, On Course practice, golf etiquette, the rules of golf, skills tests, playing in competitions and obtaining a WHC handicap.

The Golf Foundation Junior Golf Passport scheme will be used to monitor the progress and development of each player.

Staffing: The Academy coaching programme is led by PGA Professional Phil Toomer with assistance from Lloyd Readhead (PGA Qualified) and Andy Leonard and experienced and enthusiastic volunteers.

Competition Programme: We offer six club competitions for Intermediate/Advanced players- one each month commencing in May through to October. We also offer 6 and 9 hole competitions for the capable novice players on the dedicated Ken Carr, par 3 blue academy course.

Junior Academy Fees:

4 to 12 years: Membership £85

12 – 15 years: Membership £153

16 – 17 years: Membership £195

Inc weekly academy coaching April-September

There are concessions on membership fees for children or grandchildren of members of the club and discount for second (£10) and third (£20) child of the same family.
