From Myself, Tracy and Simon it will be great to see golf played once again at our fantastic course. The past 7 weeks have been challenging for everyone, be you in lockdown only venturing out for a quick scoot round the supermarket, home schooling, wetting the taste buds by using the course for the 1hr exercise or in my case walking 26,000 steps with a fertiliser spreader or being allowed (eventually) to be let loose on a tractor doing some proper greenkeeping duties!!! From my point of view it has certainly been an eye opening experience. During this time the course has changed dramatically, the dafs have been and gone, buds have turned to leaf and the greens and surrounds have dried out after the crazy winter. Things will be a little different on the course, the rough is pretty brutal, the greens are not so quick, the bunkers won't be raked but all this will improve over the coming weeks. For at least the next few days and possibly till June the Pro Shop door will be closed ..... however I have been working on a new online Click & Collect service so that you can order any essentials you need, balls, gloves, tees etc which we will have ready to collect 24-48 hrs after you order (fingers crossed) the website will go live shortly but you can sign up at http://www.pt-golf.co.uk The site will be password protected and we will start to add more products as we go along, in the mean time please get in contact phil@golfpro2u.com if you need any golf gear which I can bring over from Shrewsbury if needed such as shoes, bags, trollies. The next few months are going to be critical for small local businesses so all your support and help will be greatly appreciated.
