Ladies’ golfing personality Hilary Taylor proved it to be ‘lucky seven’ this week in the club championship played over 36 holes.
Hilary, off 13, has won the scratch competition six times in the past but on Tuesday (July 14) she won her seventh title and topped it by winning the Challenge Trophy for the best result against handicap.

Lady Captain Patsy Thompson said it was a great day for the competition with perfect weather and some sporting golf.
“This is only the third time in our history that the same person has won both the gross and net championships. Hilary is the deserved champion with a first round of 87 gross,” added the Lady Captain.
After the competition, the players enjoyed a ‘socially distanced’ Pimms on the patio and once refreshed… almost went out for another nine holes!
